〜Precautions for use〜
- We are the Kyo-machiya (130 years old traditional style house) where you could freely enter and leave the house for the day.
- If it’s your first time visiting the house for the day, please check in at the office (which is the room right across the cooking stove).
- An admission fee is 1000 yen per day. (Half price for College students, Free for High School students or lower)
- We would like you to fill out the questionnaire when you check in.
- If you have once checked out and decided to come back on the day, please visit the office to receive the “re-entrance ticket”.
- The following places are the space where you could use freely:
- Hall (The room facing the street)
- Hallway (leading from the entrance)
- Courtyard + Terrace (Straight through the hallway and turn left)
○ If you smoke, please go to the courtyard
○ You can use the chair and the ashtray at the terrace （With no shoes on）
- Restrooms (There are two restrooms on the left side of the hallway )
- Japanese school-style water taps (There are three of them)
- The following places can’t be entered without the owner’s permission:
- Office (The owner is working )
- Shower room (Right across the restrooms)
- Kura/ Warehouse (We haven’t done with repairing it)
- Feel free to move around with your chair. You can use any space if it’s not used.
- You can bring in your own drink/food. However, if the other customers are feeling uncomfortable with your eating, please move your seat or refrain so that others would feel comfortable.
- No liquor allowed. (except for special occasions)
- You can use the audio system at the hall freely. You can bring your own vinyls and play them. If you are thinking about using it, be sure to ask the other customers if it’s OK. (If you feel uncomfortable asking them, we are considering “Music day” so that you are allowed to use the audio system anytime you like.)
If you don’t know how to use the audio system or if it’s your first time playing the vinyles, feel free to ask the owner. The audio system can be used with the following devices.
- Phone: Plays the vinyles
- Network: Airplay would let you play the songs on your smartphone
- Feel free to use the power outlets or wifi. Please check the other paper for the wifi-access point.
